Oh man. Where to start?
Canyon lake is not only massive but it is breathtakingly beautiful! The water is warm. The sand is soft. The vibes are IT!

I have been dreaming about a lake session for quites some time. I had a vision and needed to find the perfect pair to bring it to life - and that is EXACTLY what Lorena and Isaiah did.

Some time ago I shared I wanted to do a lake session, that is when Lorena reached out and said she was up for it! We got to planning and quickly set up a date. Now, as I mentioned above, Canyon Lake is MASSIVE. So finding a spot to meet proved to be a little more difficult than I imagined. Come the day of I found it easier to share my location with her and we ultimately landed on a boy ramp rather than a swimming beach or park.

Boat Ramp 17 ended up being the perfect spot for us. The crowds disappeared around 6pm and our session started at 7:30pm. We had the entire area and sunset all to ourselves.

Lorena and Isaiah were the cutest couple and the perfect ones for this session. They giggled, cuddled, played, splashed and snuggled up perfectly. This session ended up being everything I envisioned and more!

If you’re thinking about blowing up a mattress and plopping it on a lake? DO IT.
Don’t think about it, just freaking do it! And hire me to capture it! HAHA

What was your experience like with me as your photographer?

Absolutely amazing experience!!! Felt so comfortable from the start with Betty! I was so nervous before because my fiancé and I had never taken pictures before, but wow Betty made it so fun and natural! She has such a beautiful vision and truly brings it to life. We’re already looking forward and planning our next session.


Was the session what you anticipated?

It was so much better than we expected! Even with a few people on the lake watching it felt like we were the only ones there. The time setting and area were all so perfect. Betty directed us and just knew how to bring the vision to life so smoothly!


What was your favorite moment during the session?

Being able to just capture the fun and love in our relationship felt magical!! Also, having the experience of shooting on an air mattress on the lake was different!! So so fun to do and something about that was also so relaxing . It made the shoot that much more comfortable to do!


Any tips for others wanting to get some photos done at the lake?!

DO IT!!!! The whole experience was so fun! Be prepared to get your feet a little dirty but don’t be scared to get a little wet. The shoot is just for a moment so have fun with it! Betty will get all your best angles!!
